We make games look and feel right.
Pixelvara is a studio for game art and design. Concept, UI, characters, worlds — and the design decisions that make it all play. We plug into your team and hit your engine's formats.
Everything from the moodboard to the store page.
Take one discipline or the whole visual side of the project. We work to your art direction, or set it.
Concept Art
Direction, moodboards and key art — the visual target the whole team can aim at.
Game UI / UX
HUDs, menus, inventories and onboarding that stay out of the player's way.
Character Design
Silhouettes, turnarounds and expression sheets — ready to rig or to sprite.
Environment Art
Worlds, props and tilesets with one consistent language and a clear read.
Game & Level Design
Systems, pacing and layouts — the decisions behind how the game actually plays.
Marketing Art
Store capsules, key art and trailer frames that make people want to click "wishlist".
A pipeline your producer can plan around.
Explore
References, rough sketches and a few directions to react to.
Direction
We lock the look — palette, shapes, mood — in a short style guide.
Production
Final assets on a shared board, in the formats your engine wants.
Polish
Game feel, states, edge cases — the 20% that takes the real time.
Handoff
Source files, a mini style guide, and a call so your team can run.
Every pixel earns its place.
A small crew you'd hire in-house if you had the headcount.
Between us we've shipped art and UI on live titles, worked inside studios, and been the solo artist on a jam build at 3am. We know what a real production needs from a concept, not just what looks good in a portfolio.
Pixel art or hi-res, Unity, Unreal, Godot or custom — we deliver in whatever your pipeline expects: sprite sheets, atlases, 9-slices, layered PSDs, Figma, or clean PNGs. The crew stays small, so the people who pitch you are the people who do the work.
- A named artist — and a designer when the work needs one — not a rotating pool.
- Weekly builds or drops on a shared board, with notes you can forward to your team.
- We match your art direction, or write a short style guide if you don't have one.
- Every source file, layered and named, is yours to keep. No lock-in.
- Honest scoping — if a request will blow the budget for little player value, we say so.
Tell us about the game.
Genre, platform, the art style you're aiming for, where the project stands, and which part you need help with. A build or a deck helps but isn't required. We read every message and reply within one business day.
